GENEROSITY IS A TEAM SPORT
If there is one thing we have learned at Pay It Forward, it is that our greatest impact happens when we work together. When we pull our skills and resources into one lane, even a simple piece of machinery can become a powerful symbol of community spirit.
This week, we saw an incredible "relay of giving" ignite. It is a story in three parts: The Gift, The Grind, and The Goal.
1. THE GIFT
It all started with John Comley. John had a lawnmower that was ready for a new chapter. Rather than letting it sit idle, he reached out and donated it to the cause, knowing it could be put to far better use in the hands of those serving our community.
2. THE GRIND
This is where the magic happened. Gavin stepped up—not just with his tools, but with a true servant’s heart. He took that machine into his workshop and went to work. Gavin personally serviced the unit, fixed every small niggle, and covered all the costs himself to ensure it wasn't just "functioning," but running like a brand-new dream.
3. THE GOAL
With the engine humming perfectly, the mower was officially delivered to its new home at LIV Village. For a community like LIV, keeping the grounds beautiful and safe is a massive undertaking. This reliable, high-performance machine is going to be a total game-changer for their maintenance team and the children they serve.
